Episode 5: Behind the Protest
Homework
Don't worry! The word "homework" can create some stress, but no one is going to grade you. There is so much jam-packed into every TNQ episode that we want to give you as many resources as we can.
Episode 5 features Charlene Carruthers, a Black, queer, feminist activist and organizer. Charlene challenged us to go beyond the soundbites and popular media images of organizers, to truly understand the ways they put their bodies on the line for entire communities.
CHALLENGE

Maybe it would be a blessing just to have someone cover the internet payment for a month! Do they need words of encouragement or a community acknowledgement of the risks of their work?
Lets treat our organizers like the rockstars they are for putting their bodies on the line to bring attention to injustice,
